He is a member of key national and international consortia, including the NIDDK Gastroparesis Clinical Research Consortium, and serves in leadership and editorial roles for numerous scientific journals. His research seeks to define biomarkers and targeted therapies to improve outcomes for patients with neurogastrointestinal disorders and disorders of gut-brain interactions. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation and serves as board of directors of the Rome Foundation, a premier international not-for-profit organization to advance care of patients with disorders of gut-brain interactions.
