Biographical summary
Aaron Hecht, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified general gastroenterologist. He obtained his medical and graduate degrees at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine followed by residency and fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hecht's clinical interest include:
    - Diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders including constipation, diarrhea, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), eosinophilic GI diseases, celiac disease, microscopic colitis, among others.
- Procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Hecht is an active researcher performing basic, translational, and clinical studies on the effects of diet and the gut microbiome in gastrointestinal diseases. He has authored numerous high-impact peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and serves in a number of national leadership roles.
