Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Agitation
  2. blindness
  3. blurred vision
  4. combativeness
  5. decreased vision
  6. difficult or troubled breathing
  7. difficulty sleeping
  8. discouragement
  9. dizziness
  10. eye pain
  11. feeling sad or empty
  12. headache
  13. irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing
  14. irritability
  15. jerking or shaking
  16. lack of appetite
  17. lightheadedness
  18. loss of interest or pleasure
  19. mood or other mental changes
  20. muscle tremor
  21. nausea
  22. pale or blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  23. restlessness
  24. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  25. tearing
  26. thoughts or attempts at killing oneself
  27. trouble concentrating
  28. trouble sitting still
  29. trouble sleeping
  30. unusual drowsiness, dullness, tiredness, weakness, or feeling of sluggishness

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

  1. Confusion
  2. drowsiness
  3. lack of coordination
  4. loss of consciousness
  5. relaxed and calm feeling
  6. sleepiness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Nasal discomfort

Less common

  1. Abnormal product taste
  2. changes in patterns and rhythms of speech
  3. headache
  4. runny nose
  5. slurred speech
  6. throat irritation
  7. trouble in speaking
