Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Blurred vision
  2. chest pain or discomfort
  3. dizziness
  4. gaseous abdominal or stomach pain
  5. headache
  6. lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting
  7. nervousness
  8. pale skin
  9. pounding in the ears
  10. recurrent fever
  11. slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat
  12. stomach fullness
  13. trouble breathing
  14. unusual bleeding or bruising
  15. unusual tiredness or weakness
  16. yellow eyes or skin

Incidence not known

  1. Bloating
  2. chest tightness
  3. chills
  4. clay-colored stools
  5. confusion
  6. constipation
  7. cough
  8. dark urine
  9. diarrhea
  10. difficulty swallowing
  11. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  12. fat in stools
  13. fever
  14. hives, itching, skin rash
  15. indigestion
  16. large, hive-like swelling on face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  17. loss of appetite
  18. nausea
  19. pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  20. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  21. severe nausea or vomiting
  22. stomach pain or cramps
  23. sudden loss of weight
  24. sweating
  25. unusual drowsiness, dullness, or feeling of sluggishness
  26. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Difficulty having a bowel movement
  2. difficulty with moving
  3. excess air or gas in the stomach or bowels
  4. feeling of fullness
  5. inflammation, itching, lumps, or pain at the injection site
  6. muscle pain or stiffness
  7. pain in the joints
  8. passing gas
  9. weight loss
