Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Frequency not determined

  1. Abdominal fullness
  2. black tarry stools
  3. bleeding gums
  4. bloating
  5. blood in urine or stools
  6. chills
  7. constipation
  8. darkened urine
  9. fast heartbeat
  10. fever
  11. gaseous abdominal pain
  12. general tiredness or weakness
  13. indigestion
  14. large, hive-like swelling on face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, sex organs
  15. loss of appetite
  16. light-colored stools
  17. muscle cramps or spasms
  18. muscular tenderness, wasting or weakness
  19. nausea
  20. pains in stomach, side or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  21. pinpoint red spots on skin
  22. recurrent fever
  23. severe nausea
  24. skin rash
  25. unusual bleeding or bruising
  26. upper right abdominal pain
  27. vomiting
  28. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Fever
  2. headache
  3. muscle pain
  4. runny nose
  5. sore throat

Less common

  1. Back pain
  2. body aches or pain
  3. chest pain
  4. chills
  5. cold or flu-like symptoms
  6. congestion
  7. coughing
  8. diarrhea
  9. difficulty in moving
  10. dizziness
  11. dryness or soreness of throat
  12. hoarseness
  13. muscle pain or stiffness
  14. pain in joints
  15. pain or tenderness around eyes and cheekbones
  16. shortness of breath or troubled breathing
  17. stomach pain
  18. stuffy nose
  19. tender, swollen glands in neck
  20. tightness of chest or wheezing
  21. trouble in swallowing
  22. unusual tiredness or weakness
  23. voice changes
