Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Breast pain
  2. full or bloated feeling
  3. heavy non-menstrual vaginal bleeding
  4. pressure in the stomach
  5. surgery
  6. swelling of the abdominal or stomach area

Less common

  1. Bloating or swelling of the face, arms, hands, legs, or feet
  2. change in vaginal discharge
  3. increased clear or white vaginal discharge
  4. pain or feeling of pressure in the pelvis
  5. rapid weight gain
  6. tingling of the hands or feet
  7. unusual weight gain or loss
  8. vaginal bleeding

Incidence not known

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. anxiety
  3. blurred vision
  4. change in vision
  5. chest pain or discomfort
  6. clear or bloody discharge from nipple
  7. confusion
  8. constipation
  9. cough
  10. coughing up blood
  11. depression
  12. difficulty with speaking
  13. dimpling of the breast skin
  14. dizziness or lightheadedness
  15. double vision
  16. dry mouth
  17. fainting
  18. fast heartbeat
  19. headache
  20. headache, severe and throbbing
  21. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  22. inability to speak
  23. incoherent speech
  24. increased urination
  25. inverted nipple
  26. loss of appetite
  27. lump in the breast or under the arm
  28. metallic taste
  29. muscle weakness
  30. nausea and vomiting
  31. numbness or weakness in your arm or leg, or on one side of your body
  32. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  33. pain or redness in your lower leg (calf)
  34. persistent crusting or scaling of the nipple
  35. poor insight and judgment
  36. problems with memory, vision, speech, or walking
  37. redness or swelling of the breast
  38. seeing double
  39. shortness of breath
  40. slow speech
  41. sore on the skin of the breast that does not heal
  42. sudden or severe headache
  43. sudden shortness of breath or troubled breathing
  44. sweating
  45. thirst
  46. trouble recognizing objects
  47. trouble thinking and planning
  48. trouble walking
  49. unusual tiredness or weakness
  50. weight loss

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Accidental injury
  2. back pain
  3. body aches or pain
  4. chills
  5. diarrhea
  6. difficulty breathing
  7. ear congestion
  8. fever, sneezing, or sore throat
  9. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  10. joint pain
  11. loss of voice
  12. muscle aches and pains
  13. pain in the arms or legs
  14. pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  15. runny nose
  16. shivering
  17. stuffy or runny nose
  18. sweating
  19. tightness of the chest or wheezing
  20. trouble sleeping
