Research

Mayo Clinic is conducting a broad range of research focused on improving outcomes for patients with urothelial carcinoma. Doctors are leading studies that evaluate novel therapies for both muscle-invasive and non-muscle invasive urothelial cancer through multiple clinical trials while also investigating ways to improve the quality, accessibility and delivery of bladder cancer care. Their work includes examining healthcare delivery patterns, identifying factors associated with high-quality care, and developing patient-centered approaches that promote access to treatment for all.

In addition, Mayo Clinic researchers are exploring innovative treatments for upper tract urothelial carcinoma, advancing molecular and pathological understanding of urinary tract cancers, and leveraging multidisciplinary expertise to develop more-effective, personalized treatment strategies for patients.
