Research

Mayo Clinic doctors and scientists are working to find new ways to diagnose and treat pediatric brain tumors.

Investigators in the Children's Research Center at Mayo Clinic study preventive care, early diagnosis and intervention, and new treatments for childhood illnesses and conditions.

Brain tumor research is supported by Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center receives funding from the U.S. National Cancer Institute and is designated as a comprehensive cancer center. This designation recognizes the institution's scientific excellence and multidisciplinary resources focused on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Mayo Clinic researchers collaborate with researchers at other institutions through professional organizations and partnerships. Mayo Clinic is a member of the Children's Oncology Group and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. These partnerships with physicians and researchers from around the nation and the world aid in finding the causes of pediatric cancer and help develop more-effective treatments for children with brain tumors and other types of cancer.
