1. International Penile Advanced Cancer Trial (International Rare Cancers Initiative Study)

   Rochester, Minn.

   This is an international phase III trial, with a Bayesian design, incorporating two sequential randomisations. It efficiently examines a series of questions that routinely arise in the sequencing of treatment. The study design has evolved from lengthy international consultation that has enabled us to build consensus over which questions arise from current knowledge and practice. It will enable potential randomisation for the majority of patients with inguinal lymph node metastases and will provide data to inform future clinical decisions. InPACT-neoadjuvant patients are stratified by disease burden as assessed by radiological criteria. Treatment options are then defined according to the disease burden strata. Treatment is allocated by randomisation. Patients may be allocated to one of three initial treatments: A. standard surgery (ILND); B. neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by standard surgery (ILND); or C. neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by standard surgery (ILND). After ILND, patients are defined as being at low or high risk of recurrence based on histological interpretation of the ILND specimen. Patients at high risk of relapse are eligible for InPACT-pelvis, where they are randomised to either: P. prophylactic PLND Q. no prophylactic PLND

2. Rare Kidney Stone Consortium Patient Registry

   Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to collect medical information from a large number of patients in many areas of the world with primary hyperoxaluria (PH), Dent disease, Cystinuria and APRT deficiency. This information will create a registry that will help us to compare similarities and differences in patients and their symptoms. The more patients we are able to enter into the registry, the more we will be able to understand the Primary Hyperoxalurias,Dent disease, cystinuria and APRT and learn better ways of caring for patients with these diseases.

3. Testicular Tissue Cryopreservation In Children

   Rochester, Minn.

   This protocol is being designed to offer testicular tissue cryopreservation to male pediatric patients (0-17 years of age) with fertility threatening medical diagnoses or facing surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy that may cause loss of reproductive potential.

4. A Clinical Evaluation of Semen Quality Using the MiOXSYS™ System 2.0

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to determine if elevations in oxidative stress, as measured by oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), can distinguish between semen samples from men with abnormal semen parameters from those with normal semen parameters. Static ORP (sORP) results, measured by the MiOXSYS System- a novel technology, will be compared to the current World Health Organization (WHO) semen analysis parameters.

5. Gemini Study To Evaluate The Integration Of Cancer Genetic Testing Into A Cancer Clinical Practice At Mayo Clinic At Arizona

   Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of genetic mutations in cancer patients from various ethnic populations seeking care at Mayo Clinic cancer clinics.

6. A Study To Evaluate The Impact Of Non-invasive Tests For Bladder Cancer

   Rochester, Minn.

   Levels of bladder cancer-derived extracellular vesicles become undetectable after radical cystectomy in patients with localized bladder cancer. This study hopes to determine the levels of bladder cancer-derived extracellular vesicles pre- and post-RC.

7. Comparison Of In-Home Versus In-Clinic Administration Of Subcutaneous Nivolumab Through Cancer CARE (Connected Access And Remote Expertise) Beyond Walls (CCBW) Program

   Jacksonville, Fla.

   This phase II trial compares the impact of subcutaneous (SC) nivolumab given in an in-home setting to an in-clinic setting on cancer care and quality of life. Currently, most drug-related cancer care is conducted in clinic type centers or hospitals which may isolate patients from family, friends and familiar surroundings for many hours per day. This separation adds to the physical, emotional, social, and financial burden for patients and their families. Traveling to and from medical facilities costs time, money, and effort and can be a disadvantage to patients living in rural areas, those with low incomes or poor access to transport. Studies have shown that cancer patients often feel more comfortable and secure being cared for in their own home environments. SC nivolumab in-home treatment may be safe, tolerable and/or effective when compared to in-clinic treatment and may reduce the burden of cancer and improve the quality of life in cancer patients.

8. A Study To Develop A Biorepository Of Blood Samples From Cancer Patients Participating In The Gemini (IRB 19-006717) Protocol

   Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The purpose of this study is to develop a biorepository of blood samples  from cancer patients participating in the Gemini (IRB 19-006717) protocol. These samples will be used for future biomarker discovery and other translational studies. 

9. A Study of Simulated Sylvian Fissure Dissection Under Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Conditions Using a Rodent Microvascular Anastomosis Model

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to assess the differences in microvascular anastomosis outcomes between the experiment aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH)-like conditions and control animals.

10. Accelerated vs Standard BEP Chemotherapy for Patients With Intermediate and Poor-risk Metastatic Germ Cell Tumours

    The purpose of this study is to determine whether accelerated BEP chemotherapy is more effective than standard BEP chemotherapy in males with intermediate and poor-risk metastatic germ cell tumours.
