1. A Study of Stability and Physical Activity among Patients with Spinal Deformity Before and After Surgery

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to determine pre-surgical and post-surgical changes in gait stability and free-living activity. The information collected in this study will be used to guide surgical interventions and achieve better functional outcomes.

2. A Study to Evaluate Whether Ultrasound Can Detect Medial Meniscal Extrusion More Frequently Than MRI?

   Minneapolis, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether ultrasound can detect medial meniscal extrusion more frequently than MRI.

3. A Study to Evaluate Comprehensive Arthroscopic Management (CAM) Procedure with Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) for Shoulder Osteoarthritis (OA)

   Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of concentrated bone marrow aspirate administration after Comprehensive Arthroscopic Management (CAM) surgical procedure, and to determine pain relief, disease progression and range of motion in patients with osteoarthritis of the shoulder.

4. A Study of Scoliosis Survey to Development Treatment Decision Tool

   Rochester, Minn.

   This is a survey, with the option of uploading prior clinical imaging (x-rays, etc), with the aim to study the burden of scoliosis disease over time and the results of treatment (specifically the results of nonfusion and fusion scoliosis surgery).  Our goal is to report these results back to the community of people with scoliosis and also publish our results in the medical literature.

5. Identification of Predictors for Clinical Outcomes in Femoroacetabular Impingement Surgery

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to improve the surgical treatment outcomes of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), which is affecting an increasing number of military personnel and young active individuals in the general population. The proposed study will investigate critical patient, disease, and surgical treatment predictors of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) surgery outcomes.

6. A Study to Learn More About Characterization of Different Musculoskeletal Tissues

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this investigation is to characterize the genetic and epigenetic characteristics of different musculoskeletal tissues, as well as their associated disease states. Epigenetic markers represent promising therapeutic targets, as well as diagnostic biomarkers with important clinical utility.

    

7. A Study to Evaluate Outcomes of Shoulder Arthroplasty

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcomes and complications in patients who have received a hemiarthroplasty, anatomic total shoulder, or reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.

    

8. A Study to Analyze Surgical Outcomes and Predictors of Treatment for Hip Diseases

   Rochester, Minn.

   This study is designed to:
   -analyze effects of surgical treatment
   -improve surgical care and quality of life of patients with hip problems/diseases
   -ID predictors of surgical outcomes to identify/improve future treatments
   -Collect data, images, from patients undergoing surgical treatment of hip disorders (we will not be collecting social security numbers to send to Washington University).

9. Clinical Trial of Concomitant Hip Arthroscopy During PAO

   Rochester, Minn.

   The study will assess the outcomes of patients treated with concomitant hip arthroscopy at the time of periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) for patients with hip dysplasia compared with patients treated with PAO alone.

10. A Study to Evaluate Autologous Adipose Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Treat Spinal Cord Injury Patients

    Rochester, Minn.

    The purpose of the present study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of a single intrathecal injection of autologous, culture expanded AD-MSCs specifically in subjects with severe traumatic SCI when compared to patients undergoing physical therapy.
