Alex D. Sherry, M.D.

Alex Sherry, M.D., is a radiation oncologist with specific interest in managing gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) cancers. He attended medical school at Vanderbilt University and completed residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He strives to deliver exceptional patient-centered care utilizing cutting-edge radiation therapy techniques.

• Clinical focus includes prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers as well as cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, bile duct, pancreas, colon, rectum, and anus
• Expertise in stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and proton therapy for the treatment of localized and metastatic cancers
• Research interests include oligometastatic disease, the immune response to radiation, and clinical trials methodology
