Dr. Moreno Franco is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Transplant Critical Care intensivist at Mayo Clinic Florida. At MCF he has served as Medical Director of the Medical ICU 2013-2016 and is currently the Medical Director for the Transplant Critical Care Service. He also serves in the Clinical Practice Committee, Hospital Practice Subcommittee, Mayo Clinic Quality Subcommittee and Medical Emergency Response Subcommittee.

Dr. Moreno Franco also participates actively in activities with Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery, Multidisciplinary Epidemiology and Translational Research in Intensive Care and Perioperative Medicine (METRIC-PM), and Acute care research consortium (ACRC). Dr. Moreno Franco has research interests that include sepsis and shock care, delirium prevention, ARDS management, ICU resource utilization, liver transplantation and extracorporeal life support.

He has participated in educational activities with the Quality Academy directed towards residents, fellows, nurses, advance practice providers, pharmacists and respiratory therapists as Mayo Clinic Florida.

In his current role as the Chair for the Clinical Practice and Quality Oversight Subcommittee he coordinates quality initiatives in Mayo Clinic Florida, his practice driven changes have been focused on smart alert systems to prevent hospital associated harm, improve patient outcomes and most importantly enhance patient's experience.
