Mateo G. Leon, M.D., is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Medical and Surgical Gynecology and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Florida. Dr. Leon completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, followed by a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroid surgery, abnormal uterine bleeding, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, fertility-sparing procedures, and surgical education. He is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
