Biographical summary
Allison E. Garda, M.D., is a radiation oncologist at Mayo Clinic. She treats a wide range of benign and malignant conditions with a focus on gynecologic and breast cancers. She strongly believes in a patient-centered approach that emphasizes patient education and shared decision making. Her areas of clinical focus include:
- Treatment of gynecologic cancers including endometrial cancer, uterine sarcoma, cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, and ovarian cancer
- Treatment of breast cancer including localized, advanced, and oligometastatic disease
- Brachytherapy
Her research focuses on quality of life during radiotherapy, survivorship, biomarkers for risk stratification and individualized treatment, and novel treatment strategies including advanced radiotherapy modalities.
