Dr. El-Nashar is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in General Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

As a clinician, Dr. El-Nashar serves women with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic pain and other pelvic floor dysfunctions. Dr. El-Nashar graduated with honors from Assiut University School of Medicine in Egypt. Dr. El-Nashar completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Dr. El-Nashar serves on the editorial board of the International Urogynecology Journal, the official journal of the International Urogynecologic Association (IUGA) and the journal of Gynecologic Surgery. He is also a peer reviewer for Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. El-Nashar has over 200 publications, including over a 100 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. El-Nashar research interest includes pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, gynecologic surgery, pelvic pain, urinary tract infections, abnormal uterine bleeding, research methodology and evidence-based medicine.
