She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She completed her general cardiology fellowship and advanced echocardiography fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
