Wisit Cheungpasitporn, M.D., FACP, FASN, FAST, is leading AI innovation in Nephrology and is a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He serves as the AI Content Lead for the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine (MCASOM) and Course Director, where he defines the standards for integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into medical education and kidney health.

He is a core member of the Steering Committee for the American Society of Nephrology's Partnership for Responsible AI in Kidney Health. Dr. Cheungpasitporn's clinical practice spans the continuum of kidney care. His areas of expertise include clinical nephrology, acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidney replacement therapy (including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT), critical care nephrology, and kidney transplantation. He earned his medical degree with First Class Honors from Chulalongkorn University and completed dual fellowships in nephrology and kidney transplantation at Mayo Clinic. He also holds a Postdoctoral Diploma in Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) with advanced training in epidemiology and statistical analysis.
