Nick L. Bormann, M.D.

Nicholas L. Bormann, M.D., is an addiction psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. He completed medical school and residency training in psychiatry at the University of Iowa, and fellowship training in addiction psychiatry at Indiana University. He provides care across residential (Intensive Addiction Program), group-based outpatient, consultative evaluations, and outpatient medication for addiction treatment (MAT) levels of care.

Dr. Bormann has a particular interest in integrating digital health tools into addiction treatment to improve access, engagement, and long-term outcomes. His clinical approach emphasizes recovery-oriented care, including strengthening social supports and focusing on areas such as relationships, employment, and overall functioning.
