We advance prehospital and out-of-hospital research and quality through innovative, evidence-based, and data-driven approaches that support the delivery of timely, high-quality, and compassionate care by skilled EMS clinicians. We integrate research into clinical practice and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts across a range of specialties. We also partner with organizations and companies to develop and evaluate new solutions for the prehospital setting.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service's research is integral to advancing patient care and leveraging the agency's critical role in the earliest moments of acute illness and injury. Our research team consists of emergency medicine and EMS clinician researchers, data analysts, quality coordinators, and statistical support. We work closely and share resources with the Department of Emergency Medicine's Division of Emergency Medicine Research.
