Deanna C. Menapace, M.D.

Deanna C. Menapace, M.D., is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Patients from Amelia Island, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, the greater Jacksonville area and beyond seek her expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.

Her surgical expertise includes rhinoplasty and preservation rhinoplasty, deep-plane facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, lip lift, facial contouring, facial rejuvenation and nasal breathing surgery. She also provides reconstructive care for patients with facial injuries, facial nerve disorders and skin cancer, including facial reconstruction, facial nerve rehabilitation, scar revision and reconstruction involving the nose, eyelids, ears, lips and neck. Given the high incidence of skin cancer in Florida, she has a particular interest in helping patients restore both function and appearance of their skin.

Dr. Menapace takes an individualized approach to care, taking time to understand each patient's goals, concerns and expectations. She works with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their needs and support natural-looking, balanced results.

"My approach to care is to really listen to what each patient wants and understand what is important to them. Every face is different, and there is no single approach that works for everyone," says Dr. Menapace. "I want my patients to feel heard, comfortable with their options and confident that we are working together toward an outcome that feels natural and right for them."

Her clinical interests include aging face surgery, facial balancing and contouring, facial rejuvenation, facial nerve surgery, fat transfer, rhinoplasty and nasal breathing surgery. She also has research interests in regenerative aesthetics and emerging technologies.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Menapace is involved in medical education, research and professional leadership. She has served with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Her contributions to education, innovation and research have been recognized with Mayo Clinic Florida's Teacher of the Year award, a Provider Experience Award and other honors in facial plastic surgery and regenerative aesthetics.

Dr. Menapace completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after completing her otolaryngology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and her bachelor's degree in neurobiology from the University of California, Davis. She is double-board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.

A former Division I athlete, Dr. Menapace loves staying active and embracing adventure. Outside of medicine, she and her husband enjoy exploring the outdoors in North Florida, checking out local concert venues and making memories with their three kids.
