Biographical summary
Rachael C. Passmore, D.O., is a general family medicine practitioner. She enjoys treating a broad array of both acute and chronic conditions in addition to promotion of preventative medicine. Her clinical
focus includes:
- Expertise in management of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and hypothyroidism
- Proficiency in preventative medicine measures, specifically obesity/weight management and women's health/contraceptive management
- Promoting each patient's understanding of disease and empowering patients to become partners in managing their health
- Discerning each patient's unique expectations of living with chronic disease and collaborating with patients to resolve issues and achieve balance
- Identifying techniques to motivate patients to adopt healthy living habits in order to prevent development of chronic conditions
- Integrating understanding of socioeconomic barriers and/or mental health conditions that may serve as barriers to wellness
- Adopting a holistic view to medicine and wellness in order to provide each patient with individualized and compassionate care
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Passmore is planning to soon become involved in research and medical student education.
