Our experience, expertise and teamwork enable care that focuses on outcomes and your quality of life after our care. Greater than 87%‡ of patients were discharged directly to their homes following their spine procedure at Mayo Clinic in 2019. Less than 13% were discharged to a skilled nursing or nonhome facility.

We offer world-class care by using the latest care model design, research and technologies. Mayo Clinic patients had access to 23 spine-related clinical trials in 2019 (Rochester, Minnesota: 15, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona: 4, Jacksonville, Florida: 4).

Access to specialized physicians and scientists

Our spine care program has 36 physicians and researchers in Rochester, Minnesota (18), Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona (9), and Jacksonville, Florida (9), across seven specialties (neurosurgery, orthopedic spine surgery, pain medicine, physiatry, spinal cord rehabilitation, neurology and neuroradiology). This is within an organization that focuses on multidisciplinary team-based care and is home to over 4,000 physicians in Rochester, Minnesota, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jacksonville, Florida.
