Biographical summary
Shannon Strader, D.O., M.S., is board-certified physiatrist who specializes in the care and research of patients with neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative, and neuromuscular disabilities. She is developing a transition and aging clinic for adults with pediatric-onset disabilities.
She completed PM&R residency at the University of Louisville and a Cell Therapy fellowship at Mayo Clinic, becoming the first physiatrist to complete formal cellular therapy training. Her work focuses on translating cellular and gene therapies for neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders, advancing physician education in cell and gene therapies for non-hematologic applications, and improving patient access to novel, approved therapies. Her goal is to integrate cellular therapies within rehabilitation to advance patient-centered care for individuals with complex disabilities.
