Randi Ryan, M.D., is an abdominal transplant surgeon specializing in kidney, liver and pancreas transplant surgery. She is a board certified general surgeon and completed her transplant surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. She joined the staff at Mayo in 2024. Dr. Ryan's practice includes not only surgical transplantation but preoperative evaluation and postoperative management of transplant patients. Her clinical interests include laparoscopic bilateral native nephrectomy and simultaneous kidney transplant in patients with polycystic kidney disease, pediatric kidney transplant, and robotic kidney transplant. Research interests include access to transplant care, machine perfusion in liver and kidney transplant, and surgical and medical management of obesity in transplant patients.
