He specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex esophageal disorders, including eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), achalasia, and other esophageal motility conditions.

Dr. Pang's clinical practice emphasizes collaborative, multidisciplinary care, working closely with specialists in Allergy, Nutrition, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary Medicine, and Surgery to provide patients with comprehensive evaluation and treatment plans tailored to their needs. His expertise also includes using advanced diagnostic tools such as EndoFLIP, high-resolution esophageal manometry, and upper endoscopy to better understand esophageal physiology and guide therapy.

In additon to his clinical work, Dr. Pang leads and contributes to active clinical and translational research focused on eosinophilic esophagitis, with particular attention to disease surveillance and the role of food-antigen responses in disease progression. He has published extensively and presented his findings at national meetings. As an Associate Professor, he is also dedicated to teaching and mentoring residents and fellows at Mayo Clinic.

"It's important that patients understand their condition and the reasoning behind each care decision," says Dr. Pang. "I believe in empowering patients through education and working together through shared decision-making to create treatment plans that align with their goals and lifestyles." Outside of medicine, Dr. Pang enjoys spending time with his family, running, and traveling.
