Biographical summary
Yuting Huang, M.B.B.S., Ph.D., is a Senior Associate Consultant and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida.
Dr. Huang received her MBBS from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College and her Ph.D. in Immunology from Tianjin Medical University. She completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic Florida. She completed advanced research training as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and at Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on regenerative medicine, cancer immunology, and gene therapy.
Dr. Huang’s clinical practice includes general gastroenterology and gastrointestinal oncology, with emphasize on the care of patients with cancer-related gastrointestinal complications. As a physician–scientist, she is pursuing translational research in gene therapy for cancer. She is the recipient of the Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Award by State of Florida, and KL2 Career Development Award by NIH and Mayo Clinic, supporting her innovative work in liver-directed gene therapy to achieve cancer immunotherapy targeting primary and metastatic liver cancers. She has participated in multiple patents and inventions in gene therapy and digital health and is the author of more than 70 peer-reviewed publications.
