Randall Flick, M.D., M.P.H., is a consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology with a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine He holds the academic rank of Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics. Dr. Flick is Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic Children's Center overseeing pediatric care across the Mayo Clinic Enterprise.

Dr. Flick received a B.A. degree in biology from Moorhead State University, earned the M.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine (AOA) and a M.P.H. degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He completed residencies in pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital, anesthesiology at Washington University and fellowships in pediatric anesthesiology and intensive care at Johns Hopkins. He holds board certification in pediatrics and pediatric critical care (ABP) as well as anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology (ABA).

Dr. Flick has held a leadership role in several professional societies, the United States Food and Drug Administration as well as local, state, and national not for profit organizations. Recognized as an international expert in his field, he has over one hundred peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters to his credit. Dr. Flick's research interests include outcomes in pediatric anesthesia, neurodevelopmental effect of anesthetic exposure, quality in pediatric hospital care and the advancement of women in leadership.
