Biographical summary
Jacob K. Dey, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a double board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with a special interest in facial reanimation and facial rejuvenation. He grew up in Missouri and received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri — Columbia. After college, he completed medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Dey graduated with top honors from Johns Hopkins and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After medical school, he completed residency in Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN followed by a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Dey is actively involved in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery research and education. He has authored numerous publications in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and presents his research at national and international meetings. He has particular research interest in the areas of facial paralysis, regenerative medicine and biotherapeutics, and outcomes assessment in aesthetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Dey has dedicated his training and career to surgery of the face. He understands how important the face is to one's identity, sense of self, and quality of life. This drives his passion for helping patients with concerns regarding their facial appearance and function. Dr. Dey practices the breadth of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery with emphasis on facial reanimation for patients with facial paralysis as well as aesthetic treatments and surgery for patients seeking facial rejuvenation.
