Biographical summary
Elizabeth L. Cho, M.D., M.S., is a transplant nephrologist at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. She specializes in the care of patients with kidney disease, kidney failure, kidney injury and transplant rejection and is a member of Mayo Clinic’s Kidney Transplant Program and Pancreas Transplant Program.
Dr. Cho provides care for patients undergoing evaluation for kidney and pancreas transplantation as well as transplant recipients requiring ongoing medical management. She works closely with multidisciplinary transplant teams to support kidney function, monitor immunosuppressive therapy and address complications that may occur before or after transplantation.
Dr. Cho completed fellowship training in nephrology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and subspecialty fellowship training in renal transplantation through Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Arizona. She is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Cho has contributed to research and scholarly work in internal medicine and nephrology. Her accomplishments include recognition for clinical excellence during residency training and award-winning academic presentations.
