Biographical summary
Dr. Semirra (Sami) Bayan is an Otolaryngologist with subspecialty training in Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Disorders. As part of the Mayo Clinic Voice Center, Dr. Bayan understands that everyone's voice is important and strives to provide focused, personalized care to every patient.
Her clinical focus includes:
- Comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for professional and non-professional voice users in close coordination with speech and language pathologists specializing in the treatment of voice disorders
- Minimally invasive KTP laser surgery for early vocal fold cancers and vocal cord dysplasia
- In office procedures for vocal cord paralysis, recurrent vocal cord dysplasia and recurrent vocal cord papilloma
- State-of-the-art surgical treatment for benign voice and airway disorders
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Bayan is active in research and education providing mentorship to residents and fellows.
