Biographical summary
Bryce Baird, M.D., is a fellowship-trained men's health and reconstructive urologist at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in restoring urinary and sexual function for men with complex urologic conditions. His clinical practice focuses on advanced surgical treatments for erectile dysfunction and male stress urinary incontinence, offering individualized care designed to improve function, confidence and quality of life.
Dr. Baird is recognized for his expertise in the surgical management of erectile dysfunction, including penile prosthesis implantation and complex revision surgery. He cares for men whose symptoms have not responded to medications or other conservative therapies, helping them understand the full range of treatment options and select the approach that best aligns with their goals.
He also specializes in treating male stress urinary incontinence, particularly following prostate cancer treatment or other pelvic surgery. His practice includes buried penis repair as well as artificial urinary sphincter implantation and revision – an advanced surgical treatment for moderate to severe male stress urinary incontinence – as well as male sling procedures for appropriately selected patients. Dr. Baird partners closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that restores function while supporting long-term quality of life.
In addition, Dr. Baird treats patients with urethral stricture disease, Peyronie's disease, male infertility, and other complex conditions affecting men's urinary and sexual health. His fellowship training in men's health and prosthetic urology allows him to offer specialized surgical care using the latest reconstructive and prosthetic techniques.
"What I enjoy most about reconstructive urology is that every patient presents a unique challenge, and the impact of treatment can be truly life-changing," says Dr. Baird. "Restoring urinary or sexual function isn't just about performing a successful operation – it's about taking a comprehensive approach to male health and wellness."
Dr. Baird's research focuses on advancing the surgical treatment of men's sexual and urinary health conditions, with particular interest in erectile dysfunction, penile prostheses, male stress urinary incontinence and reconstructive urology. His work aims to improve patient outcomes through innovation in prosthetic surgery, surgical techniques, and clinical education.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Baird enjoys hanging out at the beach and spending time with his family.
