Peter F. Johnston, M.D., is a board-certified General Surgeon, with expertise/training in Surgical Critical Care. His clinical focus includes

  • Management of abdominal wall hernias of all types with open as well as minimally-invasive techniques
  • Treatment of gallstone disease (colic, cholecystitis, gallstone pancreatitis)
  • Intra-abdominal complications (infection, obstruction, etc.)
  • Management of complex medical and surgical conditions requiring intensive care
  • Performance of advanced bedside Ultrasound and image-guided procedures

In addition to his clinical pursuits, Dr. Johnston is a member of multiple academic associations, and is involved in research and education across multiple levels. His main academic focus is Global Surgery and the delivery of equitable, quality surgical care both locally and internationally.
