Jonathan Balog, D.O.

Jonathan Balog, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Mayo Clinic, where he provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. His clinical interests include men's health, diabetes management, and hypertension, with a strong emphasis on preventive care and long-term wellness.

"My philosophy of care includes utilizing evidence-based medicine and evolving technology in combination with patient goals to achieve desirable outcomes. Emphasis is placed on the patient-doctor relationship, as I believe trust and understanding are essential to providing high-quality care," says Dr. Balog.

Dr. Balog is currently accepting new patients at our Gate Parkway Primary Care location.

Education and leadership

Dr. Balog completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Family Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, where he served as Chief Resident. He has experience in outpatient care delivery, innovative care models, and medical education, and actively serves as an instructor for Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Balog enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and working on home improvement projects.
