如果确诊慢性淋巴细胞白血病（CLL），下一步是确定这种癌症的程度（即分期）。影像学检查和血液检测可用于确定慢性淋巴细胞白血病的分期。医护团队会使用癌症分期来帮助制定治疗计划。

慢性淋巴细胞白血病的分期可用字母或数字来表示。早期癌症通常可能不会引起症状，也不需要立即治疗。晚期癌症患者可能出现症状，需要立即治疗。数字分期包括：

  • 0 期慢性淋巴细胞白血病。 在 0 期，血液中的淋巴细胞数量高于正常水平。这种状况被称为淋巴细胞增多症。
  • 1 期慢性淋巴细胞白血病。 1 期出现淋巴细胞增多症，并伴淋巴结肿大。
  • 2 期慢性淋巴细胞白血病。 2 期特征为淋巴细胞增多症伴脾脏或肝脏肿大。淋巴结可能也出现肿大。
  • 3 期慢性淋巴细胞白血病。 3 期包括淋巴细胞增多症和贫血（一种以缺乏健康红细胞为特征的状况）。3 期可能也包括脾脏或肝脏肿大以及淋巴结肿大。
  • 4 期慢性淋巴细胞白血病：4 期包括淋巴细胞增多症和血小板减少症（一种以血小板计数低为特征的状况）。4 期可能也包括脾脏或肝脏肿大、淋巴结肿大和贫血。

字母分期包括：

  • A 期为累及淋巴结区域低于三个的淋巴细胞增多症。
  • B 期为累及三个或更多淋巴结区域的淋巴细胞增多症。
  • C 期为淋巴细胞增多症伴贫血或血小板减少症。可能涉及淋巴结和脾脏肿大，也可能不涉及。
