Scientists in the Department of Clinical Genomics-Research at Mayo Clinic research a wide range of diseases and conditions that have a genetic basis. They do this research to help improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Researchers in the Transplant Research Center are actively engaged in studying improved surgical procedures, and developing new antirejection medicines, treatments and techniques to make transplants safer and available to more people.

Scientists in the Epidemiology and Genetics of Lung Cancer Research Program at Mayo Clinic are working to discover more about the genetic causes of lung cancer. They also are working to improve early detection and understand the genomic and environmental factors that significantly impact the development, progression and prognosis of lung cancer in people who have never smoked. You may have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials.
