Biographical summary
Adam J. Tagliero, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with expertise in the knee and shoulder. He earned his medical degree from Florida International University and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then pursued fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the University of Virginia, where he refined advanced techniques in arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Tagliero’s clinical focus includes complex knee surgery, such as ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, and patellofemoral stabilization, as well as comprehensive shoulder care, including arthroscopic and open treatment of instability, rotator cuff and biceps pathology, and arthritis. He provides care for patients across all age groups, from adolescents to adults, emphasizing restoration of function and return to activity.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Tagliero serves as a team physician for Rochester FC, a USL2 soccer club, and Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) football. He is also the Associate Program Director for the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of sports medicine surgeons.
