Mayo Clinic offers appointments in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota and at Mayo Clinic Health System locations.
Many patients with prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer are curable with surgery. One thing that makes Mayo Clinic unique is we have specially trained surgeons in almost every sub specialty of Urology, high volume, very experienced surgeons in their sub specialty. We're always doing innovative things. Robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, laser surgery. And a lot of these are done for the first time ever at Mayo Clinic. Most of the time, we can cure people surgically without chemo, without radiation, and preserve their quality of life. Mayo Clinic is a true patient first environment. The first part of what we have to do is we have to listen. And that means we have to hear them, not just about their disease, but how that disease affects them. All of our physicians are focused on the best thing for each patient and work collaboratively. And there is no incentive for anybody to do anything other than what's in the best interest of the patient. A very rewarding part of our job is being able to cure a lot of these cancers and having patients come back two, three, four, five years later and saying, hey, you saved my life.
