Research

Doctors and scientists at Mayo Clinic are studying prostate MRI for detecting prostate cancer and guiding diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Mayo Clinic's Center for Advanced Imaging Research studies MRI and other techniques to find ways to improve existing tests and discover new ones.

Prostate cancer research is conducted in coordination with Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center receives funding from the National Cancer Institute and is designated as a comprehensive cancer center. This designation recognizes the institution's scientific excellence and multidisciplinary resources focused on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
