Rochester construction updates Second Street Southwest closures near Saint Marys On Monday, August 11, construction will close 2nd Street SW to through traffic between 11th and 13th Avenue SW, just north of the Saint Marys Campus. The work, led by the City of Rochester, is one phase of the Link Bus Rapid Transit project, which will provide convenient transit access to both Mayo Clinic campuses in future years. Patient parking and drop-off will remain available, but patients are encouraged to approach the campus via Highway 52. Drivers should use the exits for 2nd Street SW and follow signs directing them to turn right onto 14th Avenue SW to reach the campus. Please allow extra time for arrival and departure as traffic congestion may occur. For details on how to navigate between Mayo Clinic’s downtown and Saint Marys campuses, please view suggested routing information here. Additional work to construct Link Bus Rapid Transit will be completed in phases throughout 2025 and 2026. Once the city finalizes these plans, dates and details for future closures will be shared.
