Biographical summary
Paul M. Scholten, M.D., is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with specialty training in pain medicine. He blends his expertise in rehabilitation and procedural interventional approaches to develop an individualized treatment plan to help his patients maximize their level of function.
Dr. Scholten's clinical interests include:
- The diagnosis and non-operative treatment of spine pain and arthritis
- Interventional pain management including image-guided spine and peripheral joint injections
- Functional rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Scholten enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows. He has published numerous articles in high-impact peer-reviewed scientific journals and continues to work towards answering important research questions to improve patient care.
