Muriel M. Schornack, O.D.

Dr. Muriel Schornack is a board-certified optometrist. She holds fellowships from the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society. In addition to providing comprehensive eye care, Dr. Schornack works collaboratively with the Facial Reanimation Clinic. She also specializes in the treatment of corneal ectatic disease and ocular surface conditions with scleral lenses.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Schornack is a founding member of the SCOPE (Scleral Lenses in Current Practice Evaluation) and CORiS (Consortium of Researchers in Scleral Lenses) study groups. Through both of these organizations, she participates in clinical and translational research that enhances the ability of eye care providers throughout the world to optimize prescription and management of scleral lenses.

Dr. Schornack has served on planning committees for multiple optometric meetings, including the International Forum for Scleral Lens Research, International Congress of Scleral Contacts, and Summit of Specialty Contact Lenses. She is an associate editor for Eye and Contact Lens. She has published and lectured extensively on clinical applications for scleral lenses.
