Outpatient Spinal Cord Injury Care Program Print The Outpatient Spinal Cord Injury Care Program offers coordinated outpatient care to help people with spinal cord injuries transition back to their homes and communities. Some people are admitted after discharge from Mayo's inpatient rehabilitation unit, for ongoing rehabilitation needs that can be addressed in the SCI/D outpatient program. Other people may be admitted into the program directly from the hospital or after an evaluation by Mayo Clinic spinal cord injury providers. The outpatient program provides lifelong care for people with spinal cord injuries or disorders via a comprehensive team of health care providers and rehabilitation specialists.
