Alexandra Wolanskyj-Spinner, M.D., is a hematologist and a medical educator with extensive experience and achievements in both clinical and academic settings. She is a consultant in the Division of Hematology, and holds several leadership positions, including Associate Medical Director of Development, Professor of Medicine, Director of Wellness, and Medical Director of the Office of Wellness and Academic Support. She is board certified in internal medicine and hematology, and has a special interest in benign hematology, thrombosis, and myeloproliferative disorders.

Dr. Wolanskyj-Spinner has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences. She is also an accomplished musician and a fluent speaker of English, French, and Ukrainian.
