Biographical summary
Nayoung Sung, M.D., is a Women's Health Specialist in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Sung earned her medical degree from Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine in South Korea. She completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in South Korea, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Immunology at Rosalind Franklin University. She later completed a Family Medicine residency at Clinica Sierra Vista in Bakersfield, California, and a Specialized Women's Health Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Sung's clinical practice focuses on the care of women during the menopausal transition and beyond, including menopausal hormone therapy, nonhormonal treatment of menopause symptoms, sexual health concerns, and contraception counseling. She also performs office-based procedures, including intrauterine device (IUD) and contraceptive implant insertion and removal, as well as endometrial biopsy. Dr. Sung is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care that supports women's health and addresses each patient's individual health goals and concerns.
