Biographical summary
As a fellowship-trained thoracic radiologist, Justin T. Stowell, M.D., specializes in interpretation of radiographs, CT, and MRI of the full spectrum of pulmonary and cardiac diseases. His clinical and academic interests include lung cancer screening and developmental disorders of the lungs, heart, and blood vessels. Dr. Stowell also prioritizes the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Stowell also serves as an advocate for healthcare needs of transgender persons, particularly within the field of radiology. His research focuses on imaging considerations after gender affirming hormonal and surgical therapies, which he has presented nationally and internationally. He has been appointed by the American College of Radiology to lead a national work group on gender diversity.
