Laura D. Rhaney, M.D., M.P.H., is a preventive and lifestyle medicine physician who empowers patients to take charge of their health through proactive, sustainable, evidence-based care. She is passionate about disease prevention, whole-person wellness, and extending healthspan — the years of life lived in optimal health and vitality.

Dr. Rhaney earned her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine before serving as Medical Director of an active-duty primary care clinic in the U.S. Air Force. She completed a Preventive Medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and holds an Executive Master of Public Health Practice from the University of Minnesota.

She currently serves on Mayo Clinic’s Executive Health team, where she applies her expertise in lifestyle medicine and preventive care to support long-term wellbeing. Her research interests center on lifestyle optimization in clinical practice, with a focus on whole food, plant-forward nutrition and innovative education strategies that help patients and clinicians adopt sustainable habits to extend healthspan and reduce chronic disease risk.
