David Raslau, M.D., M.P.H. came to the Mayo Clinic from Chicago, IL where he grew up enjoying the diversity that city provides in cultures, cuisine, and experiences. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Aerospace Medicine at Mayo Clinic. In Aerospace Medicine, training focuses on commercial pilot health, as their role requires a unique perspective in maintaining health and at the same time maintaining the safety of our airways. He then joined the staff in General Internal Medicine in 2014. Shortly thereafter he was asked to join the Executive Health Program and has primarily been working in that area ever since.

Professionally, Dr. Raslau's interests lie in disease prevention and focusing on healthy lifestyle choices. He believes that healthy living can be distilled down to making positive choices in four principle areas: food, activity, sleep, and stress. Dr. Raslau also believes in a whole-person approach focusing on physical, emotional, and spiritual health. He believes that the large body of literature regarding brain neuroplasticity supports this integrative model.

Dr. Raslau is married and has two young children, a girl and a boy. He and his family spend time enjoying the outdoors and each other. They are active in a small church just outside of town and enjoy seeing Rochester and the surrounding communities grow and develop.
