Biographical summary
Dr. Parikh is a thoracic medical oncologist specializing in care of patients with lung cancer, mesothelioma and thymic cancers. His research expertise is in designing and conducting early-phase and late-phase clinical trials. He has translational research focuses on developing tissue and blood-based biomarkers to predict responses to immunotherapy in lung cancer. He serves as a member of the Mayo Clinic Thoracic Malignancies and Early Cancer Therapeutics Disease Groups. He also serves on the Respiratory Committee for the Alliance of Clinical Trials in Oncology.
Apart from receiving two ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Awards for my research, he has also received the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Career Development Award and the IASLC Academy Award. He is currently enrolled in the Mayo Clinic CCATS Clinical Trialist Training Program to design and implement cutting edge clinical trials for patients with thoracic malignancies.
He is invited to several regional, national and international meetings to present my research and give seminars on thoracic malignancies.
