Biographical summary
Sinead Murphy Salem, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric intensivist specializing in the care of critically ill children in both the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and pediatric cardiac intensive care unit (CVICU). She attended Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine before completing her pediatric residency at Boston Children's Hospital/Boston Medical Center and subsequent fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Murphy Salem's clinical practice focuses on the acute care and longitudinal management of children with critical illness. Her academic interests center on improving outcomes and care delivery for children with medical complexity and technology dependance, as well as advancing education for trainees caring for pediatric patients. She is particularly interested in the intersection of pediatric critical care, chronic disease trajectories, and medical education.
