Dr. Michael A. Mikhail is an experienced General Internal Medicine physician whose career is focused on comprehensive consultative adult medicine. His work includes diagnosis and treatment of complex health matters, preventive care, wellness care, perioperative medicine, practice advancement, and teaching. He is deeply committed to compassionate, collaborative, evidence-based, high-quality patient care and education. Dr. Mikhail is recognized for his excellence in these areas, to ensure that the needs of each patient come first.

In addition to his Executive Health Program practice, Dr. Mikhail provides expertise in perioperative care. He emphasizes medical optimization for surgery while supporting long-term health goals. His approach blends up-to-date science with patient-centered communication to deliver personalized care across a wide spectrum of perioperative Internal Medicine needs.

Dr. Mikhail also serves as faculty of the Mayo Clinic Internal Medicine Residency Program and of the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His contributions to advancing quality of patient care and education have been recognized with multiple teaching and service awards.
